    Major Glitch Pokemon SRAM Failure

I uploaded this video showcasing what a faulty copy of Yellow version looks like. The mapper chip most likely needs to be resoldered or the battery needs replacing. The generation 1 games use SRAM to decompress sprites in battle and during the opening cutscene with Oak and Pikachu. When there's an error with the connection the game reads this data as hex value $FF causing the sprites to display as blocks. Older emulators also had this problem whenever SRAM wasn't properly configured in the emulator.

I had a look at the board for this copy of Yellow btw. Some of the legs on the mapper chip look a bit sus, so I'm going to reflow the legs that look iffy. If this doesn't fix the problem, I will need to solder a wire from one of the pins on the U4 supervisor chip down to the mapper chip. Also I have pictures of what this cartridge looks like, it's dirty af since I spilled soda on it years ago but never got around to cleaning it until now. I've cleaned up the top shell but the bottom shell needs cleaning and the back of the board is disgusting. How did this game still boot up?!

This is what the top shell looks like now.
