Why did I create Glitch Talk and why is it on a forum and not a Discord server? I believe that a research community needs to be on a self hosted forum, rather than a Discord server or any other platform that can be removed at any time. Glitch Talk is a research community for those who wish to talk about interesting glitches they've encountered in software and video games. It's also a place to better understand why these glitches are happening and how we can try and fix them if they can be patched. I know many believe that forums are dying or they don't serve a purpose but they still have a place on the internet and will be around still when all the social media platforms implode on themselves. Anyways that's just a bit of a tangent on why I've created this community. Will it have lots of activity? Honestly, I'm not banking on that but hey as long as I reach one other person or a small group of individuals I'm happy!
